Installation Process and Timeline
Installing a concrete patio typically takes 3 to 5 days from start to finish, depending on the size and complexity of your design. Here is what you can expect when you work with us.
Day one is excavation and site prep. We remove grass and soil to the proper depth, check the grade for drainage, and compact the soil base. If your yard has drainage issues or soft spots, we will address those problems now before they cause settling later. Day two involves building forms and installing a gravel base layer. We use proper stakes and bracing to hold everything in place, and we double-check all measurements and slopes.
On pour day, we bring in fresh concrete and work quickly to spread, level, and finish the surface. This is when we apply your chosen texture or stamp patterns. If you are getting decorative concrete, this step takes extra time and skill to get the details right. The finishing work makes all the difference in how your patio looks, so we never rush this part.
After the pour, your patio needs at least 7 days to cure before you can put furniture on it. We apply a curing compound, and we may cover the surface or spray it with water depending on weather conditions. You can walk on it after a day or two, but give it the full week before adding weight. This curing time is when concrete develops its full strength, and skipping it causes weak spots and premature cracking.
